Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko gifted former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s finest drinks worth Ksh1,029,000 to celebrate his 62nd birthday.
In a video shared on his social media platform, Sonko went to shop for drinks at one of the popular liquor houses within the city driving top of a range monster truck.
At the liquor house, he picked some of the finest drinks before singing a happy birthday song to Uhuru.
Besides the drinks, Sonko wrote on his social media pages that he had gifted Uhuru a cake and card reminiscing their old days before they all ascended into positions of power.
At the same time, Sonko extended an olive branch to Uhuru noting that he had let go of all the harsh words of revenge he hurled at him following their fallout.
The former Nairobi County Boss insisted that he was ready to give their friendship a second chance.
” I celebrate the former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. May the Good Lord give him good health and long life as he celebrates his 62nd birthday. I have gifted him with a cake, card, and some finest drinks as a sign of missing the happy good days we used to spend together before and after he became president. Happy birthday, my brother, and may your additional year bring you happiness.
May God forgive me for the insults, unkind words, and anything I have said to provoke you in revenge. I have also forgiven you for all the wrongdoings and persecution. May you live long. God bless you and your family,” Sonko wrote in a long post.
He further shared several Bible verses to show his willingness to let it go and turn on a new leaf.
Sonko was the only one who celebrated Uhuru. In Gatundu, some traders bought cake and shared it amongst themselves to celebrate Uhuru’s birthday.
They also expressed their regrets on how they treated the former Head of State during his last days as the country’s president.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MY FORMER BUDDY UHURU MUIGAI KENYATTA.
It is written in the book of Mathew 5:43. “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” I celebrate the former President H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. May the Good Lord give him good health and long life as… pic.twitter.com/ZETZQ60pjQ— Mike Sonko (@MikeSonko) October 28, 2023
