Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has extended an olive branch to the incumbent Johnson Sakaja.
Sonko and Sakaja quashed their beef after their meeting in Nairobi on Friday January 12.
Rebel leaders accompanied Sonko during the meeting with Sakaja.
“Nairobi rebel leader and former governor HE Mike Mbuvi Sonko meets the current governor HE Johnson Sakaja in his office for peace talks and matters touching on development in our great county. We have agreed to work together for the betterment of the good people of Kanairo (Nairobi),” Sonko stated.
Before the meeting, Sonko was among the critics of Sakaja’s administration.
He called out the incumbent over a number of times on the management of city affairs.
Their ugly fallout was during the launch of free meals for schools where Sakaja accused Sonko accused of plotting to sabotage the project.
However denied the allegations directing Sakaja to focus on service delivery instead of naming calling and diversionary politics.
