It is a sad week for traditional sports lovers from Kakamega country after the sudden death of one Malinya Pogba.
Pogba is said to have a series of health complications troubling for the last few months and gave up the fight on Friday night.
The bull is said to have died from fever.
According to a Facebook post by former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, the animal was suffering from East Coast fever.
The 2016 bullfight champion took the reigns from the late Iminyi in an exciting event held in Malinya village.
“The great Malinya Pogba is gone. Gone to rest with Iminyi the G.O.AT. He has just succumbed to East Coast Fever. Long live the king of the beautiful game,” the former senator mourned.
