“Sisi Ndio Atakuta Na Tutadeal Na yeye” Gatundu Locals Warn Ruto As He Plans To Storm President Kenyatta’s Backyard

Date:

Gatundu residents took to the streets to protest over DP William Ruto’s behavior of insulting president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The protests took place on Thursday just a day before Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade took their campaigns to President Kenyatta’s backyard in Ichaweri village in Gatundu.

The locals who were armed with placards with writings such as ‘Respect our president’, ‘We honor the president’ among others together with leaves disrupted traffic forcing police officers to intervene.

Speaking to the press they  said that they were  angered by the disrespect that their son was facing and demanded that the president should be respected.

“As women of Kiambu we are saying the president should be respected and not insulted. We are the one who gave birth to him. Am very angry because he is insulted,” one of the women present said.

Another one added that those spreading dirty politics should stay with their money because they want peace while insisting that President Kenyatta should be respected as his term comes to an end.

“Here in Kiambu we are very angry because you can not come and insult a king in his own home. The king was chosen, and we will choose another one after elections. We are the ones who will vote, we have not permitted anyone to come and insult the president just because they are from this region, the votes we have are for Kenyatta and he has shown us the way,” a middle-aged man said.

Another resident said that DP Ruto had his democratic right to campaign anywhere in the country but he should not dare to insult President Kenyatta since they will deal with him.

“We are telling them to sell their agendas without insult and if they insult the president we are the ones who will deal with them. If he knows he is coming here to spread insults let him know that he is going to find us and we will deal with him.

This comes days after Thika residents protested over Kenya Kwanza rally that was held in the town last Sunday after DP Ruto’s tour abroad.
