William Ruto ally Sirisia MP John Waluke revealed secret information about night visits Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have been making to DP’s residence.
Mudavadi and Wetangula are both One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals and have both expressed interest to vie for president in 2022.
However, Waluke said Mudavadi and Wetangula have been secretly meeting Ruto at night to avoid being spotted with the DP.
The Sirisia MP, who spoke during Ruto’s rally in Bungoma on Friday November 5th, castigated Wetangula and Mudavadi for insulting the DP during the day while they have been meeting him at night.
Due to the cowardice of such leaders, Waluke recommended that Ruto should avoid seeing them at night.
Waluke’s statement comes just days after a source close to Ruto’s insiders told the Standard that his team was on the verge of a deal with an OKA principal and talks were in top gear to win over a second one.
“We already have convinced one of the former NASA principals and intensified talks to have the second also commit,” the source was quoted by the Standard.
At the moment, Wetangula and Mudavadi are the only two OKA principals still hesitant to join Raila Odinga – meaning that the source might be referring to the two.
It had earlier been reported that other OKA principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi had decided to throw in the towel and support the ODM leader.
Sources told The Star that Kalonzo had arrived at the decision to support Raila but is still afraid of the reaction from his allies, hence why his anti-Raila stand remains.
It’s worth noting that the Wiper leader has been warned against again supporting Raila, for the third time, with MPs from Ukambani threatening to abandon him.
Insiders say that Gideon has already resolved to join Raila. The ODM boss was the chief guest at the launch of Gideon’s presidential bid at the Bomas of Kenya early last month.
