Deputy president William Samoei Ruto was on Tuesday forced to explain why some of his children failed to attend his UDA National Delegates Conference (NDC) at the Kasarani Stadium.
Only June Ruto and Shirleen Ruto were present at the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) event which was attended by a number of leaders from all parts of the country.
However, it was extremely strange for William Ruto to be accompanied by only his two daughters despite having more than four children.
The supporters even demanded to know where the other children had gone to on such a day which was very important to their father.
When he arose, the deputy president claimed that Nick Ruto was busy at work and he could not make it to his NDC meeting.
However, the above explanation did not go well with Kenyans who wondered why Nick Ruto chose to be “busy” on this day that was planned for many months ago.
Others wondered what type of a boss Nick Ruto was working with and what the boss stood to lose if he allowed him to attend his father’s important day.
With regards to his other daughters, William Ruto also said that they were busy doing other things at various places. Having noticed the abnormalcy, Kenyans had the following to say:
“It is interesting that William Ruto’s children could not get even one hour to attend their father’s big day at NDC. This proves that this family may be having internal problems which they don’t want to bring to the public limelight.”
“I am shocked that Nick of all the people could not get an off from his place of work today. In as much as I support DP, I think Raila Odinga’s children do support him since they always accompany him to such important functions. That was a let down from our deputy president.”
“Nick Ruto we in huster nation will never forgive you. How can you give this United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Delegates Conference (NDC) a wide berth? Ati you did not get an off day? This is very disappointing and a silly reason.”
