Shirleen Mukami Responds To Allegations Of Conning Kenyans

Date:

Shirleen Mukami is trending again and this time it is after she was exposed for conning Kenyans hundreds of thousands of shillings.

Shirleen became an online sensation after sharing her story as a young single mother thus winning the hearts of many.

“Hello, Twitter. I’m Shirleen Mukami, a 20-year old single mother of one boy whom I was blessed with on June 15th 2021. He’ll be turning 5 months in the next few days. But what’s there to celebrate!? It’s been a ride of hell and unbearable heartbreaks and pain,” part of her message in Twitter read.

“My entire pregnancy was a journey of unforgettable pain, sorrow and regrets. I had thought otherwise about keeping this baby but eventually, I decided to keep it and raise him. I shared the news of my pregnancy to the man I was in love with. The man I knew was responsible”

“I had already anticipated his reaction and had told my girls that he would deny responsibility. And he did. I was not surprised. But what hurt me most is that I didn’t even tell him about it to try and ‘trap’ him into raising the baby with me. I had decided I would still keep it,” the 20-year old disclosed.

She was however exposed by blogger Edgar Obare who said her story was stage managed by a fraudster  Kenneth Gachie Kabuga alias Cabu Gah who is believed to be her baby daddy.

According to the expose, the money earned with so little effort was intended for buying a new car after Cabu Gah’s car was destroyed in an accident.

Shirleen however took  to her twitter handle to deny the allegations saying that  she only approached Gachie to help her popularize her initiative.

“I, a single mom, approached Kenneth Gachie to help me popularise my initiative. As stated here already, he has been good at that and successfully did a campaign for his sister last year to buy an electric wheelchair and make donations to spinal injury victims,” the mother of one tweeted.

She further said all the money that she had received as a contribution from Kenyams was still intact.

“And for the record, none of the funds have so far been WITHDRAWN. All the monies are still with MCHANGA and we shall be advised next on what to do with them. Nothing has so far been withdrawn,” she wrote.

“That’s all I can say for now and I hope all shall be settled and resolved even as we remain committed to our initial plans and initiative,” she added.
