Dagoretti North member of parliament Simba Arati has revealed that president Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake brother Raila Odinga should not dream of taking the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to parliament.
According to Simba Arati, deputy president William Ruto will bribe all the legislators in parliament in a bid to frustrate the BBI Bill and put the last nail on its coffin.
“There is a problem, let us agree, there is nothing you are telling us that you’re going to parliament to discuss the BBI report through it. We know very well that one William Samoie Ruto will buy all those members of parliament and they will bring big problems to this country.”
Simba added that the only place the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) will get justice is when it is taken directly to the Kenyan voters as opposed to parliament.
“The only court where we will get justice is the court of common mwananchi.” He said while addressing ODM party members in Kawangware.
With regards to Nairobi politics, Arati reiterated that the Orange party is firm and strong under the leadership of chairman George Aladwa while maintaining that the city politics is under the control of President Uhuru and Raila Odinga.
“For those ones who are doubting Thomases, we want to tell you, mweshimiwa Kamnanda now that you have joined us wewe ndio baba yetu hapa Nairobi. Nataka nikuambie kwamba sasa tutalinda mji huu.”
“The only two parties in this city, only two people who command this city are His Excellency the president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Amollo Odinga. No any other person.” He stated.
Following the court of appeal ruling which reaffirmed the high court ruling which threw out the BBI case, there have divided opinions with some calling for an appeal in the supreme court while others proposing that the changes be taken through parliament.
