Saboti member of parliament Caleb Amisi has urged Kisumu residents to turn up in large numbers to welcome deputy president William Samoei Ruto.
According to Caleb Amisi, Ruto’s visit to the Lakeside region was a good opportunity for the locals to officially hand over the opposition roles to the second in command.
“Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has told the people of Nyanza to turn up in large numbers to welcome William Ruto. He’s told them to use the Nyanza tour to hand over instruments of opposition politics to the next Leader of Official Opposition. He’s called it the Opposition Handover Tour.” Tweeted Gabriel Oguda.
Deputy President William Ruto landed at the Susan Owiyo Arts Centre in Kisumu on Tuesday in a bid to commence his three day tour of the larger Nyanza region.
According to the Star, The DP is expected to hold a series of political rallies in Kisumu county before heading to Homa Bay and Migori counties.
On Wednesday, he will head to the famous Kondole then tour Kisumu West constituency at Nyahera to meet small-scale traders and make donations before winding up his tour at the Nyalunya Primary School in Kisumu East, where he is expected to give a donation to the school

“I admit I am one of the Ruto supporters and if he will be the next opposition leader he will be among the strongest opposition leaders in Africa,revolution will take place under his leadership.”

“Meanwhile constituents of Saboti have reminded Caleb Amisi he won with slim margin of 200 votes, that even in Viu Sasa he won’t c parliament.”
“Raila has one big problem and I doubt he even realises it; Ruto is not a Kikuyu. For Raila’s campaign fulcrum over the years has been 41 against 1. Ruto will get votes everywhere.”

On Thursday, the second in command is expected in the county of Homabay with the same agenda of women and youth empowerment as he markets his famous bottom up economic model.
From Homabay, DP Ruto will head to Homabay where he will be received by the controversial Migori governor Mr. Okoth Obado where they will not only preside over rallies but also hold many harambees in the region.
