Sabina Chege, Purity Ngirici Unveiled As Members Of Moses Kuria’s CCK

Date:

Moses Kuria seems to have won big after Murang’a woman rep Sabina Chege and her Kirinyaga counterpart Purity Ngirici found a new home in his political party.

Kuria, who is currently receiving treatment in Dubai after suffering a third degree burn on his feet, on Saturday January 8, took to his Facebook page to unveil the new members of his team, Chama Cha Kazi(CCK).

Kuria shared posters of the two women and two male politicians indicating their respective posts that they will be vying for in the general elections slated for Tuesday, August 9 2022.

Chege will be vying for the Kigumo parliamentary seat, Ngirici will be going for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat, Jamleck Irungu Kamau for Murang’a gubernatorial seat while Tuukuo Julius will be running for the county assembly seat of Mosiro war, all under CCK according to the posters.

However neither Ngirici or Chege have said a word about Kuria’s social media post.

This comes barely days after Sabina threatened to ditch jubilee if the party fails to relaunch within 30 days.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, Chege said that she was tired of waiting for Jubilee to rebrand, adding that some politicians including her had delayed printing materials they will be using in campaigns for the August polls.

On the other hand, Ngirici dumped DP Ruto’s UDA so that she could follow her ambitions of becoming Kirinyaga governor.

She said that several leaders in the party had approached her asking her not to go for the position in favor of Anne Waiguru who joined the party just months ago.

““I was summoned in Nairobi and told to go run as MP in Mwea Constituency and leave the seat for her, but I have said no,” she revealed to her supporters in Mwea constituency.

She has so far rebranded her office and campaign vehicles, doing away with UDA colors.
