Ruto’s Camp In Total Disarray As Governor Mandago And Oscar Sudi’s Fight Gets Ugly

Date:

William Ruto’s Uasin Gishu background is on fire as his two key allies governor Jackson Mandago and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi continue to tear each other apart.

The whole drama started last when Sudi while speaking in Uasin Gishu county took a swipe at the second term governor Mandago for his senatorial bid, arguing that the post was too small for him.

On his part, Mandago slammed the Kapseret MP stating that he was one of the reasons why the county has remained behind in terms of development because he does not maximize on his leadership position.

On December 3rd, Sudi took to social media to escalate his war of words with the outgoing Uasin Gishu governor.

He slammed Mandago for not fully utilizing resources in his government to spur development in the county.

The Kapseret MP further insisted that the outgoing Uasin Gishu governor should not contest for any political office in 2022.

Below is Sudi’s post;

Uasin Gishu County government has been receiving an average of 8.2B every financial year since devolution started in 2013. The county collects more than 1.1B from its own source revenue every year translating to a total budget of 9.3B. The county spends 5B in it’s recurrent expenditure while development takes the remaining 4B.

Since 2013 the county has received close to 40B budget meant for development projects. Bearing in mind that Uasin Gishu County has 6 sub-counties therefore each sub county is expected to receive 6.6B on development budget for the 10 years of devolution. I don’t want to ask about the rest of the sub-counties but am interested in Kapseret sub-county.

All I can see in Kapseret are county projects totalling less than 1B. With my small budget of NG-CDF I can account for projects worth more than 800M accross Kapseret Constituency this is after deducting the bursaries in the kitty.

I still have alot to share only that it’s a matter of time before we unravel the truth and mysteries surrounding county monies. This is why am asking Gov. Jackson Mandago to give us a break of 5 years for us to audit and compare his leadership with that of the incoming Governor.
