Former Jubilee party nominated senator Isaac Mwaura confessed that he demonized Raila Odinga so much that he begun having conflict with his inner self.
For years Mount Kenya politicians have been using Railaphobia to rally their base not to vote for the former Prime Minister.
Isaac Mwaura was among politicians who desperately tried to paint Raila as bogeyman in Mt. Kenya in 2017.
Speaking during an interview on KTN, Mwaura said he demonized Raila so much in 2017 that he told fellow politician Jamleck Kamau of his displeasure spreading lies about the ODM leader.

Mwaura said he made relentless attacks on Raila so as to win favor amongst the Ruiru voters who surprisingly didn’t even elect him as their MP.
The former Jubilee nominated senator disclosed that in the run-up to the 2017 polls, he was part of a team that crisscrossed the Mount Kenya region scouring the lengths and depths of the area to demonize Raila.
Mwaura said so intense was the anti-Raila campaign that they held a total of 400 rallies. In the rallies, the main aim and agenda was to tear the reputation of the ODM leader.

Mwaura, a former ODM nominated MP, recalled that at some point the entire anti-Raila campaign became so toxic to him that he decided to share his discomfort with his fellow member of parliament Jamleck Kamau.
He told Jamleck that he felt they were being too much in their continued and persistent attacks on Raila.
Mwaura further asserted that the damage which had been done on the image of Raila Odinga in Central Kenya region was so great that it was going to take a lot of time and effort to properly cleanse him in the eyes of the people there.
The deposed senator was interviewed on KTN alongside Kieni MP Kanini Kega and Kitui Central legislator Makau Mulu.
Kega insisted that Raila had sacrificed so much for Mount Kenya and that it was time for the region to stand behind him in his 2022 presidential quest.
