President William Ruto has cracked Kenyans while recalling how his primary school teacher used to cane him.
Ruto reminded his teacher, named Ouma, of the past while speaking Kamagut Primary School, during the laying of the foundation.
This is the school that the head of state began his education from and Ouma was among his teachers.
“Nataka kwa nafasi ambayo nimepata niwashukuru sana walimu wetu ambao walitufundisha hapa. Nimekutana na wengi. Nimekutana na mwalimu wetu mkuu bwana Ndirangu, nimekutana na akina Seurey, mwalimu Biwott and Ouma. Kwanza wewe Ouma ulituumiza sana, ulituchapa hapa sana, huyo mwalimu huyo…,”Ruto said.
The government in collaboration with Safaricom foundation has channeled a whopping Kshs190 million for the school’s facelift.
The project will see the construction of 9 Junior classrooms and 12 secondary school classroom at the school.
At the same time, Ruto said that he will donate Ksh5 million to Ainab Ng’etik school “which started as the Eldoret North MP”, Sh5 million to Sambut school and Sh1.5 million plus another Sh5 million for Kamoret.
