Ruto Reacts After Uhuru Said He Feels Like Crying Over How Things Were Unfolding

Date:

President William Ruto has broken silence on remarks that were made by his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta.

During the burial of Amos Kimunya’s wife, Uhuru said that he was saddened by how things are going on the country, while indirectly slamming the current administration for continually blaming the previous government.

” These days, I don’t say much. I just sit and watch. Sometimes, I see how things are unfolding, an I just hold my head in disbelief. Then I ask myself, Should I cry. Sometimes I just laugh.

“When I was in leadership, I used to tell leaders that focused leaders are the ones who look ahead and not those who always want to revisit the past. If you want to lead this country, focus ahead. But if you keep with gossip,” Uhuru said.

Speaking during a joint meeting with Cabinet secretaries and Kenya Kwanza MPs, Ruto responded to Uhuru saying that he felt like crying because he wasted a lot of time on BBI, instead of implementing projects that were beneficial to Kenyans

“I hear one of our friends saying that when he sees things, he feels like crying. It is true because they are now wondering if it was actually true that housing was possible and you wasted and you wasted time on reggae.
