Kenyans have taken a swipe at the Deputy president William Samoei Ruto after he used his trusted allies in Kisii to openly bribe residents.
According to sources which spoke to Sonko News, the Kisii residents were being bribed in a bid to make them attend the scheduled United Democratic Alliance (UDA) rallies across the gusii land.
A video seen by Sonko News showed a man in a UDA t-shirt dishing out bundles of money to the youths who had lined up with the hope of getting something to take home.
The move by Ruto to bribe Kisii residents did not however go well with some Kenyans who had the following to say:
“Gideon was in Ngong on Saturday and that is exactly what he did… No politics without money so stop confusing Kenyans. Do your job write not tweeting for the sake of it.”
“This is not acceptable, that is why I’m urging Kenyans need for change which is overdue. We can do it. Why do we keep on selling our rights this cheap?
We need to redeem our nation. No one can build our economy by dishing out loots.”
“What would you be revisiting when ODM were caught doing the same?Should we be revisiting too?Hicho kitakua kicheko cha nyani.Blame some Kenyans for this culture of handouts instead.”
“Wah, this is sickening. How long can this go on? Such a leader once in office can never perform cz he will feel he bought the position. Kenyans are their own enemy and the leaders we chose reflect what calibre of leaders they want. These wananchi will never know what hard work means, they will always want to depend on handouts.
“This is what has been happening all over UDA goes, shame on them!”
“That’s my village boy shouting, ng’orang’ora, meaning polepole. And that’s very far from the event. Ruto has got some loose change.”
“All political parties are doing the same, hata mimi friend akitoka other county or abroad lazima nikule yake. That’s the way of testing if the person is doing good and healthy. Hata ruracio it happens.”
“Tell ODM to also use money , stop crying, winning elections is one thing and good governance is one thing, you cannot do the latter minus the former.”
At the same time, a video of Deputy president William Samoei Ruto bribing 500 mama mbogas with 2,000 Kenya shillings each through his key ally Kimilili member of parliament Didmus Baraza left Kenyans talking.
While breaking the news to the public, the Kimilili legislator stated that the 1 million Kenya shillings he was given by DP Ruto was well delivered to the intended recipients.

“William Samoei Ruto your token of Kes 1M Was well received by 500 Mama mbogas from Kimilili T junction as witnessed by more than 3,000 hustlers.” Wrote Didmus Barasa.
From the pictures, the alleged 500 mama mbogas made several lines to receive their tokens from the second in command through their Kiminini member of parliament.
