Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni while addressing a crowd took time to explain in detail how deputy president William Ruto is useless as chicken dung.
Kioni while addressing residents in Kwale county during Azio La Umoja rally in the region deconstructed Ruto’s populist cash handout policy.
The Ndaragwa MP called out the DP for dishing out money in rallies across the country and warned Kenyans not to be swayed by handouts.
Kioni used retired president Mwai Kibaki’s philosophy about handouts to refer Ruto as ‘bure kama mavi ya kuku’ (useless as chicken dung).
“Kutoka kwa rais aliye staafu Mwai Kibaki… Alituambia kwamba ukiona kiongozi yoyote ambaye anawaambia Wakenya ama wanainchi ya kwamba atawasaidia kwa pesa zake za mfuko huyo ni bure kama mavi ya kuku. (From retired president Mwai Kibaki … He told us that if you see any leader who tells Kenyans or citizens that he will help them using his own money he is as useless as chicken dung)” Jeremiah Kioni stated.
He added that;
“Yeye [Kibaki] alikua anatuambia shiza za Wakenya zilete kwa serikali, serikali itatatua. Usitembee huko na pesa zako kuwadanganya yakwamba unaweza ukatatua shida zao kwa pesa zako. Kwa hivyo hii mambo tunaona watu wanatembea Kenya nzima na hood za manoti huo ni utapeli na lazima wewe Mkenya ujichunge sana kwa sababu atakuleta pesa aina hizo mara ngapi kwa miaka mitano? Ataonekana hapa mara moja tutapigana wengine wauwawe mwishowe utangojea tena miaka mitano. Aina ya uongozi kama ule ndo sisi Mt Kenya tunasema hatutaki.
Translation:
“He [Kibaki] used to tell us that Kenyans’ problems should be brought to the government, the government will solve them. Don’t wonder all over with your money lying you can solve problems bedeviling Kenyans with your own money. So when we see people walking all over Kenya with wads of cash it is a scam and you Kenyans have to be very careful, how many times in five years will he bring you that kind of money? He will appear here once and you fight each others and some will killed then you will have to wait five more years for him to come back with handouts. This kind of leadership is what we in Mt Kenya say we do not want.”
