The hashtag Ruto Maliza uende is currently trending with Kenyans airing their grievances against the second in command.
Ruto is among those who will be on the ballot for presidential elections on August 9 but those who are not his supporters are praying so hard for his downfall.
For a number of reasons, several Kenyans feel that Ruto is not the perfect replacement for President Uhuru Kenyatta ,who is serving his final term, and Kenya will not be safe in his hands. That is why they have come up with the hashtag to reiterate why he must finish his term as DP and even completely retire from politics.
Here are some of the reasons accompanying #Rutomalizauende.
Corruption
DP Ruto has been linked to various corruption scandals including NCBP, the Aror and Kimwarer dams scandal as well as land grabbing which he has always denied saying that he is not corrupt.

Fake promises and lies
DP Ruto has been deemed a liar after many of the things he promised Kenyans during campaigns both in 2013 and 2017 failed to materialize. For example in 2013, Ruto promised Kenyans that the price of maize will be lowered to Kshs60 per 2Kg packet. That has never occurred because the price of maize has gone up hitting Kshs210 per 2kg currently.

Troubled allies
Most allies of DP William Ruto have flaws right from his running mate Rigathi Gachagua. Gachagua is said to have been forceful , aggressive and combative during his era as the District Officer in Molo. Aside from that, he was also linked to corruption involving Kshs12 billion constituency funds.
Others are Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru, Migori governor Okoth Obado, Oscar Sudi among others.
Some have cases going on in court, others have found themselves in trouble over questionable academic documents and violation of chapter 6 of the constitution.
Ruto’s team has been defined as a den of crooks. Many feel that the country will be doomed with such kind of leadership
Hypocrisy and quoting the bible wrongly
Ruto has also been accused of being a hypocrite by referring to himself as a chief hustler yet he lives a lavish lifestyle and is always dishing out huge chunks of money in campaigns and Harambees.
He is said to be associating with hustlers for his own benefits and not theirs and that the cost of living will even be worse once he ascends to power.
A couple of times, Ruto has been blasted for wrongly quoting the Bible.
2007 Post Election Violence
Ruto was among those who were suspected to be behind the post elections violence that saw many Kenyans get killed and thousands others displaced.
That still haunts the DP to date as his opposers continue to use that to their advantage especially the Kiambaa church incident where children and women were burnt alive.
