Deputy president William Samoei Ruto is in big trouble just a day after he threw unprintable insults at president Uhuru Kenyatta in Thika.
The Thika residents on Monday took to the streets to express their anger at William Ruto as they castigated the deputy president for openly disobeying president Uhuru.
In fact, they took a swipe at the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader for lacking a meaningful manifesto and only engaging in name calling.
“Tunataka kuuliza viongozi wa UDA kwani hamna manifesto? Mkienda mahali ni kutusi tu president na viongozi wengine? Na president ni sisi tulimchagua hakuna mtu alimsaidia vile Ruto huwa anajigamba. Tunataka aombe Uhuru msamaha.” They said.
The rioting locals further urged the youths not to be used in cheering stupidity where leaders only engage in abusing fellow leaders as opposed to telling the people what they would do to them if elected..
William Ruto and his brigade on Sunday left Kenyans amazed after they engaged in a “revenge mission” after Jacaranda rally laced with insults at the Thika stadium.
Each of the leaders who took to the podium did not have any meaningful manifesto to speak about except for making reference to KICC and the Jacaranda rally where president Uhuru practiced his democratic right in the constitution by backing Raila Odinga.
So bitter were the leaders that they could not stomach the reality that the president had settled on the opposition leader Raila Odinga as his preferred candidate in 2022 while bypassing their chief hustler Ruto.
Whenever all the visibly angry UDA leaders arose to address the crowd, they either mentioned jacaranda, Raila, Azimio, Kalonzo, KICC, ODM or president Uhuru.
Some like Moses Kuria even confessed the evils they did in 2017 such as littering Jacaranda grounds with sewage to prevent the National Super Alliance (NASA) from holding their meeting.
Besides, angry Ruto even cursed president Uhuru by telling him that he was leaving him to God for mistreating him for the last ten years since the formation of the Jubilee government in 2013.
On her side, kandara member of parliament Alice wahome vowed to pay Uhuru’s debt of yangu kumi yako Kumi by backing William Ruto no matter what.
