Cosmo Choy was on Thursday forced to tender his verbal apology to the Kenyan first family after insulting Mama Ngina Kenyatta using the most unprintable insults under the sun.
These insults caused uproar in the country with most people calling upon William Ruto to reign on Cosmo Choy and make him withdraw his sentiments.
In fact, the Azimio women led by the Nairobi woman rep Esther Passaris led a serious demonstration in town castigating the deputy president for condoning the act.
Fast forward, Cosmo Choy quickly recorded another video apologizing not only to Mama Ngina Kenyatta but also to the entire Kenyans.
“I am here strongly to apologize, to the Kenyatta family, to our mama Ngina and to our outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta. I am sorry for the remarks that i made few days ago. I highly regret on behalf of my family i do apologize. Pole sana i didn’t mean it. Mama aliingia siasa akaongea juu ya Ruto na mnajua mi napenda Ruto lakini siasa ni mbaya. I do apologize pole sana kwa familia pole sana mama, we ni mama yetu,. Its something sweet to have a mum, i lost my mum and i will never see her again. So pole naeza sema pole sana from my heart nisamehe na mimi kama mlinikosea mahali naskia uchungu nimewasamehe. We are human beings we make mistakes and we forgive each other. Siasa itakuja na itaenda, Uhuru ataenda na tutakuwa na mwengine pia ataenda. So sisi tutabaki pole sana asante sana Mungu awabariki wote God bless our beautiful country Kenya.” Concluded Cosmo Choy.
However, Sonko news has learnt from highly credible sources that William Ruto’s side was concerned about the insults by one of his staunchest supporter Cosmo Choy.
As a result, the deputy president is said to have used his allies in the United States to force Cosmo Choy to tender a quick apology since the vulgar video was really tainting their image in Kenya Kwanza.
Besides, Ruto was concerned that he was being put at the center stage of these insults having met Cosmo Choy when he visited the United States. Not only did Choy welcome Ruto at the airport but the two also shared good moments in the US.
“Our captain used all the means he could to make Cosmo Choy withdraw his sentiments. Kenyans accused him of being silent on the issue and it was not going on well with him. In fact, even Rachel Ruto was not happy with those sentiments and urged her husband to make the USA based blogger to do something before it is too late.” said the source.
Sonko News has also learnt that the deputy president is under immense pressure to denounce Cosmo Choy publicly and assure the citizens that he did not give him the permission to use those insults against the Kenyatta family.
“Ruto must be man enough and denounce Cosmo publicly because this is the only way we will believe that he was not part and parcel of the vulgarities aimed at Ngina Kenyatta and the head of state. He should as a matter of agency to this because Choy just damaged the 4 years gain we made politically.”
