Deputy president William Samoei Ruto has assigned his key allies such as the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula some of the most mediocre roles under the sun.
Dubbed “Sky Team,” the deputy president has reduced these leaders to mere attack dogs with nothing meaningful to be talked about. Apparently, they will be the ones leading William Ruto’s campaigns.
To begin with, Ruto has reduced Musalia Mudavadi to an attack dog who will be targeting the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader in all his speeches as someone untrustworthy who cannot keep his promises. Mudavadi will also concentrate on how the Jubilee government of Uhuru and Ruto has ruined the economy!
On the other hand, Moses Masika Wetangula will serve Ruto as mtu wa mkono by poking holes in Jubilee government programs and exposing grafts in the government. However, how the Ford Kenya party leader plans to do this without dragging his new ally Ruto is a matter of wait and see since he formed the government together with president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013.
Rigathi Gachagua will focus his energy on exposing president Uhuru Kenyatta and his family ills besides attacking Raila Odinga as a state project.
Kiharu member of parliament Ndindi Nyoro is expected to continuously portray president Uhuru Kenyatta as a letdown to the Mt. Kenya region while Kandara MP Alice Wahome will be playing the gender card. Wahome will further castigate president Uhuru Kenyatta as a man who cannot keep his words after abandoning his deputy.
Finally, Kimani Ichungwa is expected to reveal Jubilee’s borrowing spree and also portray the administration of Uhuru as one that has badly ruined the economy of Kenya.
Others who will play significant roles in William Ruto’s campaigns are South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki, Kimilili MP Didmas Barasa , Garissa Township Aden Duale, Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Aisha Jumwa.
According to sources, these politicians are said to have the charisma to excite the crowd not only in their regions but also in other parts of Kenya. They will mount serious campaigns in the Coastal regions, Western Kenya, Riftvalley and mostly Central Kenya.
