Deputy president William Ruto has revealed that he has many children outside marriage who fully depend on him as their father.
While addressing a Sunday service at African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) Gathaini Church in Githunguri Kiambu county, William Ruto said that his house/home is full of many disadvantaged children whom he adopted from various children’s homes.
According to DP Ruto, there was no need to have an extra room, bed or chair in a house because the same could be used to change lives of those who are unable.
As a result, the second in command encouraged other leaders to try and adopt children so that the population at children’s homes is reduced.
“I would like to urge all Kenyans to adopt these few children at Children’s homes because our houses have spaces. Because we have some of our children in Children’s homes, I want to request Kenyans, if you have an empty seat on your dining table, please take one of the children from these homes and make them your child. If you have an extra bedroom that doesn’t have somebody, please go to a children’s home and take one angel and take them to your home.” He stated.
At the same time, Ruto volunteered to take care of a young girl named Njeri who lives in a Children’s home. Apparently, Njeri who is a partial orphan having lost the father is leading a very miserable life since the mother is currently very sick.Â
To that effect, the second in command promised Njeri’s mother 1 million Kenya shillings so that they could use it to buy a place to stay.
“In fact, that might be the actual reason why i came to this church. Maybe I didn’t come to this church for the church office. Maybe i came to this church so that i can meet this young Njeri. So i will give 1 million so that mama Njeri can settle somewhere then i open for them a small business. ” said DP.
