Having made return to playing two weeks ago Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday night was again on what he does best, representing his country Portugal.
The Portuguese all time male top scorer and world’s second best international scorer netted his 102nd goal for his country against Andorra. Ronaldo is now only seven goals shy of record holder Iran’s Ali Daei.
Ronaldo netted a powerful header having substituted in the second half to replace Neto. Ronaldo was left on bench having picked up an ankle injury against Lazio last weekend.
Cristiano’s goal was sixth for Portugal on Wednesday friendly match against match. The friendly match was meant to prepare Portugal for two UEFA Nations League matches.
35 years old Ronaldo is on the verge of breaking Ali’s record and become world best international goal scorer. The Juventus man now needs seven more goals to equalize Ali’s record and if he needs to break the record he will have to score eight goals.

Ronaldo had hinted that he might retire from international football after the 2022 world cup which will be played in Qatar. With UEFA Nations League Cup still on, Euro 2021, World Cup qualifiers and the world cup tournament itself without forgetting friendly matches and most importantly considering his scoring record, it is undoubted that the world best and most paid footballer will surpass Ali’s record and set his own which will take milestones for any footballer to break.
