Donald Trump is seeking to delegitimize the results of the 2020 US presidential election through dozens of lawsuits and Twitter tirades.
Trump expressed his confidence on the electoral process which had looked more favorable to him late on Tuesday before hauls of early votes started being tabulated and all over sudden Joe Biden surpassed him in key battleground states.
“WE ARE LOOKING REALLY GOOD ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. THANK YOU!” Trump tweeted when he thought the election was going his way.

We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!

Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!

Trump campaign is trying to stop vote counts in states where he is trailing, like Pennsylvania and Michigan, but demanding that all the votes are counted in states where they believe they have of a chance of catching up to Biden, like Arizona and Nevada.
The president aims at delegitimizing Biden’s win with the lawsuits, and hope that the case could proceed to US Supreme Court where Republicans have an upper hand.
6 out of the 9 Justices of US Supreme Court are Republican appointees. The president expects a favorable ruling in case it gets there.
Trump promised early Wednesday morning to ask the Supreme Court to intervene in the election.
“We’ll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop,” said Trump.
