Oklahoma Senator James Lankford has promised to intervene on behalf of Joe Biden if he does not begin receiving intelligence briefings.
Joe Biden is yet to start receiving intelligence briefs that are normally handed over to the president elect. “If that is not occurring by Friday, I will step in as well and to be able to push them and say this needs to occur, so that regardless of the outcome of the election whichever way it goes, people can be ready for that actual task.” He said
The senator cited former president Bill Clinton who gave daily intelligence briefs to the President elect George Bush in 2000. Bush had full access to security summary prepared for the president as the case went on in the US Supreme Court. “There is nothing wrong with Vice president Biden getting the briefings to be able to prepare himself and be ready.” Added the Republican Senator.
James reiterated that even the vice president elect Kamala Harris deserves similar intelligence briefings. According to him, Madam Harris deserves the briefings by virtue of being a member of the senate intelligence committee.
He also added that the incumbent president should continue seeking for answers if he believes that the election was rigged. He posited that the 71,000,000 supporters who voted for Trump deserve an answer so that they are convinced.

Despite a convincing gap in the electoral colleges, president Trump refused to concede defeat alleging voter fraud. As a result, he disputed the results of the election by filing a number of lawsuits. Some of the cases are seeking for vote recount in key swing states where Biden defeated him hands down.
