DP William Ruto has always been mum on his net worth but sources claim his net worth is about Kshs 30 billion.
Seems DP Ruto hustled all his way to the top and maybe he wants to use the bottom up economic model to ensure that all the hustlers get to the top.
Before he jumped into the messy field of politics, it is alleged that DP Ruto was a ground nut hawker as well as a chicken trader along Eldoret-Malaba highway, and if that is true it only means that life does not come on a silver plate.
Despite his humble background, DP Ruto is a proud owner of several companies, Choppers, cars, mansions and other properties and businesses.Â
Today we have a look at the places he calls home.
Palatial home in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County
DP Ruto owns a palatial home in Moiben that is worth 1.2 billion and even has an artificial lake in the middle of the compound as well as a private airstrip.
The compound has 6 other palatial houses with the main house having a gazebo. It is alleged that the property sits on a 20-acre piece of the land and he purchased it in 2015 from an Asian businessman. Here are photos of the home.
The Official Karen Residence
The second in command has called the official Karen residence home since 2013. Ruto moved to the Karen residence from his Karen private residence which he converted into the current palatial Weston Hotel back in 2019.
The official residence has been a matter of discussion with Kenyans saying that it beats the statehouse in terms of beauty and design.
The mansion was built at a cost of Kshs.450 million. It has a swimming pool gazebo, generator house, staff residence and a comptroller’s unit among other luxuries.
The residence was built by the Kibaki government for Kalonzo Musyoka when he was the vice president but he never moved in.
Sugoi Mansion, Uasin Gishu county
DP Ruto is also a proud owner of another big house in Sugoi. The home was widely discussed during the eve of the 2017 general elections when a gunman broke into the home and injured a guard. The gunman was however gunned down by police officers.
