American rapper, Lil Marlo, 27 shot dead in a ‘targeted attack’ while driving in Atlanta.
Police officers have confirmed that the rapper was found dead in his car.
The police told TMZ that they found Lil Marlo’s dead after responding to a call about a car accident on Interstate 285 at 2.06 am on Sunday
When the officers arrived on the crime scene, they discovered the rapper had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the moment, the police are yet to establish whether it was a drive-by shooting or shot by someone who was in the car with him or whether he was shot somewhere else and crashed while he was driving away.
Footage of a damages car stopped at the side of a freeway in Atlanta is circulating online main allegations that the rapper was traveling in the car before his death.
The death of the rapper was confirmed by his friend Lil Yachty who posted a photo of him on his Instagram page along with a tribute.
Lil Yachty wrote: “We just did a song a 4 this morning smh rip brother @lilmarlo_1.”
Fellow Atlanta rapper Clay James tweeted: “Waking up seeing Lil Marlo passed away made me appreciate waking up even more.

His record label, Quality Control Music, announced the death of Rudolph “Marlo” Johnson in a social media post, saying the rapper will be remembered as a man of great talent who feared nothing.
Lil Marlo has left behind four children; Kemora, Rihanna, Marlo, and Rudy.
