Mutahi Kagwe’s name will be synonymous with the year 2020, the same way Covid-19 or Corona will also be remembered. The health CS has been on the frontlines informing Kenyans on the pandemic and as such has become a fixture on our TV screens.
But as with someone who has been thrust onto the limelight so suddenly, many Kenyans have been curious about the family life of the man with the famous, “abnormarry” quote.
One of the most interesting facets that is transpiring about the CS is that one of his children is a rapper whose name is Kahu Mburu Mutahi, going by the stage name of Kahush. The rapper recently admitted this during a radio interview. “That´s my dad. It´s pretty obvious mahn. His picture is in the video,” Kahush said.
Kahush lives in England where he is an IT student at Leicester. The rapper is not new in the music industry and has produced a couple of hits, like the viral hit Mi Siwezi.
In the past, the Kenyan-born rapper told a local media outlet that he looks up to Khaligraph Jones, Sauti Sol and Magix Enga;
“Recognizing I can make art that could live, be remembered and affect someone is what inspired me. I´d say I´m influenced by Jason Kalinga, J Cole, Thugger, Uzi, Santi, SZA and TNT. I look up to Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Magix Enga and Lupita Nyong´o.”
