Raila Odinga has constantly been known as the man integrity but that has now been put in jeopardy after ODM Senator Ledama Ole Kina revealed that he had received a bribe to support the controversial revenue sharing formula.
Ledama said he was set to receive up to 5 million in bribes for them to change their position and pass the new County revenue allocation formula.
The Narok Senator said the plot to bribe the Senators would be suicidal and the purported senators should not accept.
According to Ledama, the bribe will only help escalate the division in Kenya due to the revenue share discourse.
Taking to his official twitter handle, the ODM senator went on to curse the lawmakers who would pocket the 5 million and in turn betray the electorates.
He also prayed to the families of those who will accept bribe not to have peace.
The Senate will this afternoon have a sitting where they will vote on the crucial County revenue formula, with senators having a divided opinion on the debate.
Reports by The Star say 25 senators who last week engineered the defeat of an amendment to defer the disputed formula by two years have plotted another elaborate plan to reject it in totality.
The amendment was sponsored by Majority Chief Whip Irungu Kang’ata (Murang’a) with the blessings of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner ODM leader Raila Odinga.

For the formula to be passed at least 33 senators should support the formula but so far the number of those proposing it at the moment stands at 25 and the government is currently planning to lure more senators to support the bill.
Over the weekend, Raila met a section of Uhuru’s allies led by Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe at the Kajiado home of Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
During the meeting, Raila is said to have assured the President that he would rally his troops to support the formula.
The bribery allegations are however yet to be connected directly with the former Prime Minister but as it is said, you are likely to be judged with kind of friends you roll with. For now, let’s hope Raila is still ‘clean’.
