Raila Odinga’s Birthday Party Set To Go Down At The Bomas Of Kenya

ODM leader and former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga has turned 77 years old. Raila was born on January 7, 1945.

Many Kenyans have taken to their social media to celebrate the leader commonly referred to as Baba as he turns a year older.

“Happy Birthday Jakom, The Enigma, The 5th!!! The next one we’ll celebrate in State House! @RailaOdinga,” Kiari Kithongi said.

Karen Waniku’s message read, “Happiest of birthdays Jakom. The owner of numbers. The heart of the the nation. Baba wa Taifa la Kenya.”

Ali Nur Mohammed wrote, “Happy 77th birthday Baba wa Taifa Hon. Raila Odinga, the owner of real numbers not phone numbers. Long live Jakom. Thank you for giving Kenyans a wonderful country. Happy birthday Jakom, the 5th.”

While Rodgers Kipembe said, “Happy Birthday Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga, the 5th. We commend you for effectively running the Government and the Opposition concurrently. Blessings.”

To mark this important day, Raila will be celebrating his birthday at the Bomas of Kenya, in Nairobi according to a statement from the ODM’s communications director Philip Etale.

The ceremony is set to run from 9 am -12pm. His family as well as leaders are expected to grace the event at the Bomas of Kenya.

Other leaders who have celebrated Raila include Kirinyaga women rep Purity Wangui Ngirici whose advance birthday message to the former prime minister caused a stir online, CAS of Trade and Industrialization David Osiany, MP Kanini Kega among others.
