ODM Raila Odinga and Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe are expected to grace the stage together with Sauti Sol and other musicians during a mega-concert set for Saturday.
The former prime minister and CS Kagwe are expected to headline the multi-award-winning concert for Covid-19 victims.
Raila Odinga will be calling on Kenyans to come together during this time of Covid-19 pandemic while Kagwe is expected to renew his calls for the 3Ws – wash hands, watch your distance and wear a mask.
The Saturday night event will feature the country’s top artists including Elizabeth Njoroge, Redfourth Chorus, Sauti Sol, H_Art The Band, Eric Wainaina, Sammidoh, Susan Owiyo, The Nairobi String Quartet and Grammy award-winning international artists Gramps Morgan of the mega reggae group Morgan Heritage.
The concert has been organized by the Media Owners Association of Kenya-MOA and will broadcast live by various broadcast stations from the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has affected journalists, media personalities, medical personnel, and ordinary citizens. At a time of deep despondency and depression, we are standing with Kenyans in their pain and loss, believing that we will beat this” said Wachira Waruru, MOA Chairman.
