Purity Ngirici Embracing Raila’s Ideologies Faster Than She Anticipated While In UDA

Date:

Kirinyaga woman rep Purity Ngirici is quickly buying into Raila Odinga’s ideology of forming a partnership with Mt. Kenya leaders.

On several occasions, Raila has always maintained that he needs partners from the Mountain as opposed to blind followers.

On her side, Purity Wangui Ngirici on Thursday reiterated sentiments by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader that the interests of the Mountain will be better taken care of through partnership.

“The interests of Mount Kenya can’t be dictated by outsiders. It’s only through partnerships and election of independent minded leaders that Mount Kenya will benefit. We as the mountain might produce a Deputy President but we can only be sure that he/she shall be respected if we have a formidable coalition.” She said.

“This is the voice equally being echoed by H.E William Kabogo, Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri , Hon. Martha Karua , H.E Kiraitu Murungi and Hon. Moses Kuria who have political parties that some quarters are referring to as tribal arrangements.

We might not be producing a President in 2022 but we have the numbers to determine who becomes the President. Respect the mountain ~PWN.” She added.

In the meantime, the Kirinyaga woman rep Purity Wangui Ngirici wants nothing to do with deputy president William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and won’t be backing him.

While speaking in Gichugu and Mwea constituencies, she made it clear that she will vie for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial position but not under William Ruto’s UDA party.

According to her, she is confident of winning the Kirinyaga top seat in 2022 even as an independent candidate.

“Those who did not work and plan to hide behind political parties should know that it is not the party that will be elected. You are the one who we do not want because you are a thief and the people of Kirinyaga know that,” she stated.

“In 2022, I will not stand with any political party. I will seek to be elected as a governor, as an individual, and I’m confident that I will sail through,” the Woman Rep continued.

With regards to why she decided to abandon Ruto’s party, she clarified that “party owners” had on several occasions pushed her to withdraw from the race and back Ann Waiguru.

In the meantime, the Kirinyaga woman rep recently reminded her counterpart governor Ann Waiguru to carry her own cross of corruption without dragging their United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Wangui Ngirici was referring to the corruption allegations facing the Kirinyaga governor where she reminded her that it had nothing to do with her new move of joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

“When anti graft agencies strike, don’t blame it on joining UDA.We have built the party from scratch.” She told Waiguru

The two women who are eyeing the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in 2022 have not been seeing eye to eye.

Even after Waiguru joined the UDA party from Jubilee, Wangui Ngirici welcomed the governor to Ruto’s camp but gave her a stern warning that she is still determined to go for her seat and be the next Kirinyaga governor.

As a result, the philanthropic Wangui Ngirici promised to not only win the general elections but to also defeat Ann Waiguru with a landslide at the UDA nomination stage.
