KRA’s Customs department at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airpoort has intercepted 440 prohibited and restricted items that found their way into the country.
The items, including sex toys, guns and viagra, were nabbed at the airport between the months of July and October this year.
The restricted include, “339 drones, 7 guns, 18 toy guns, 11 magazines, 8 handcuffs, 24 Walkie talkies and 24 viagra packs” while the prohibited items include “14 sex toys, 58 shisha & shisha apparatus and 60 bleaching creams.”

The above mentioned items were found in possession of visitors who arrived in the country after they went through KRA checks.
This has been brought into the limelight following a tour at JKIA passenger terminal by Tourism CS Alfred Mutua, KRA Customs and KRA Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga.
The tour was aimed at ensuring that that operations are “fast, seamless and customer-friendly.”
