President Uhuru Typical Day

Date:

The seat of the presidency ain’t a walk in the park, it comes with a lot of responsibilities and duties. Talking to NTV, President Uhuru revealed that nothing has changed in his daily activities even during this crisis of coronavirus.

According to President Uhuru, the only thing that has changed in his daily routine during the coronavirus pandemic crisis is that he does most of his duties view technology.

” My day is pretty more the same as it always is, the only difference is that previously there was more face to face engagement with people. Today unfortunately as a result of coronavirus all over the world, I do the same thing but now we use technology,” President Uhuru said.

According to the president, he begins his daily activity with security briefing from various agencies. Those agencies include the police, the military, the intelligence team.

At the meeting, Uhuru says they make their daily updates, and the security personnel report to him what happened over the 24hrs.

“The agencies give an update of what has happened, what went through the night, whether there were any incidences at the border or even issues across the borders,” Uhuru said.

At the briefings, the president addresses either an individual or a group of people and discuss various security postures they take for the day.

After the security briefing, the president meets with those he has charged with various responsibilities – Cabinet Secretaries or Permanent Secretaries.

The president addresses Permanent Secretaries mostly on pet projects he has a keen interest and wants them to move forward.

The rest of the president’s day is full of meeting with regional leaders, heads of states, global donors, global leaders, and business leaders where they exchange ideas of what is happening, how they handle the prevailing situations, how they are managing various development projects.
