Presidential hopeful and businessman Jimi Wanjigi bashed DP William Ruto just a day after the two leaders seemed to be on the road to working together.
DP Ruto attended the Safina party NDCÂ on Monday where he praised Wanjigi as a person who believes in democracy.
“Jimi Wanjigi is a very great friend, I have worked with him, he has done so many things for me and for our team,” Ruto said
Previously, Wanjigi had also attended UDA NDC where he was warmly welcomed unlike what ODM did to him.
Speaking at an event in Kirinyaga however, Wanjigi rubbished the wheelbarrow and the bottom up narrative while urging the people to support his party Safina, in the next general elections, saying that it is the one that will save Kenyans.
“We are the ones who will get that man out of the seat, not in anger but politely because removing him from the seat is just one step only. August 10, is another step, how will our lives be?” he posed.
“So when people come here they should not tell you about Kshs6000, wheelbarrow and such. That can not help the people of Mwea and Kirinyaga,” he added.
According to Wanjigi, the locals should be told how their lives will be after the elections as from August 10.
He further said that they are well informed about business compared to other communities and those politicking on business issues know nothing.
“If it is about business, tell me, are there people who know business more than us because it seems that you are being swallowed. Now you are being told that they will tell you about business, do they know it?” he asked the crowd.
DP Ruto has been saying that his intention when he becomes the president is to uplift small business in his bottom up economic model.
