With modern technology, most construction works are focusing on state of art designs and churches as well have not been left behind.
Today, there are a notable number of churches whose architectural designs are just breathtaking. Each sanctuary struggles to come up with the most unique and outstanding designs.
Here are is a list of some of those churches:
CITAM Kisumu
Christ Is The Answer Ministry began ministering in Kenya in 1952 in Nairobi. The Kisumu branch was launched in 1999 and is one of the best designed churches in the country.
The church is based along the Agha Khan road. The front view of the church is just amazing, containing a glass decoration inscribed with the church’s logo. On each side of the glass are slim tower-like columns painted in red.
Jesus Celebration Center
The church has branches in the US and the UK but the one based in Bamburi Mombasa is the main headquarters.
The ministry boasts of the biggest glass built sanctuary in East Africa and can host up to 10,000 people in a single session.
The church is headed by Pastor Wilfred Lai.
Nairobi Central SDA
This is also another breath-taking sanctuary that is located Nairobi along Jakaya Kikwete Road opposite Nairobi Area police headquarters.
It is headed by Pastor Obed Nyamache.
Don Bosco Catholic Church
The church is based in Upper Hill, Nairobi opposite Elgon place. It is composed of conical roofs and was designed by Space and Systems Architects.
Sacred Heart Cathedral, Kericho.
The Roman Catholic sanctuary was completed toward the end of 2015. It can accommodate 1,500 people.
The most striking feature of the sanctuary is its inclined roofing with ist ceiling made of concrete arched framed and fitted with wooden ribs-like features.
Winner’s Chapel, Nairobi
The worship center is located off Mombasa Road behind Airtel (Parkside tower). It is headed by Dr. David Oyedepo.
Sacred Heart Cathedral, Eldoret
The Catholic sanctuary is located along Eldoret-Nairobi highway with the highest point designed in the shape of a dove with open wings.
The Catholic diocese of Eldoret has been in existence for over 50 years.
