Kenya Kwanza Coalition’s members of Parliament vowed to reprimand Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in a meeting that is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 Majority Chief Whip Sylvanus Osoro revealed.
The meeting is expected to take place at State House and will involve the Head of State and all Kenya Kwanza legislators on Tuesday morning, ahead of a parliamentary session.
On Monday, Osoro disclosed that part of the agenda for Kenya Kwanza meeting between Ruto and the UDA MPs will be to reprimand Gachagua.
Speaking to journalists, Osoro stated that Gachagua had been tribal in his politics particularly demonstrated through his stance on the “Mountain’s Politics”.
“We also expect him to tell his deputy to stop being tribal and focus on his national agenda. If the President doesn’t, then the members will tell the DP that he is a bit too tribal in his politics,” stated Osoro
Additionally, Osoro stated that Gachagua’s stance on the One Man One Shilling One Vote debate had been divisive arguing that it aimed at marginalising certain communities.
