Oscar Sudi’s Club Timba XO Set Ablaze A Week After Looting

Date:

Oscar Sudi’s club in Eldoret Timba XO has suffered another major loss if photos online is anything to go by.

The club has reportedly been set ablaze by protestors who have taken to the streets this Tuesday.

The incident comes just hours after emerged that the club has been shut down and send home about 200 employees, after being vandalized by anti-Finance Bill protestors on Tuesday June 25, when the deadly parliament invasion took place.

Armed with crude weapons and stones, the angry youths destroyed the premises leaving the glass walls and windows shattered.

Some of them looted high end TV sets, alcohol and even gas cookers.

The police who were overpowered watched the unfolding incident in dismay.

The clubs has suffered the unfortunate incidents just two months after its grand opening, that was graced by various MPs allied to the government.

Oscar Sudi revealed that he spent a whopping Kshs200 million to set up the club while condemning the vandalism that forced him to shut down.

Locals descended on Sudi’s business for supporting the Finance Bill, which President William Ruto has since rejected to ascend it, sending it back to parliament for considerations and welcoming youths for talks.

The youths have however rejected Ruto’s calls for talks, especially at Statehouse, demanding him to step down.

Meanwhile, Ruto has expressed willingness to talk with the younger generation and he will engage them on Space X this week.

“I am hearing that the young people are saying we don’t want a multisectoral forum, maybe we should have an engagement with the President on X. I am open to having an engagement with the young people on a forum they are comfortable with. If they want me to engage with them on X, I will be there. I want us to discuss taxation, I want us to discuss unemployment, corruption, all issues.

“Tell me who among you will set up the X Space and either Thursday or Friday I will be there. I want us to discuss taxes, unemployment, corruption and all issues,” he said.
