Renown CNN journalist Larry Madowo will this Friday feature on his former show at NTV.
Madowo has taken the responsibility to host the show one more time in honour of the late Reggae MC, Radio and TV personality Jahmby Koikai.
“If it is Friday you know it is… I’m back hosting The Trend live for one night only to celebrate the life of Jahmby Koikai,” Madowo said on his social media platforms, leaving his followers excited
Jahmby passed away on Monday night after a long battle with endometriosis, just days after appealing Kenyans to donate for her blood O positive, while admitted at the Nairobi Hospital.
Following her death, Kenyans overwhelmingly mourned her, acknowledging her strong fight on the condition.
In his message, Madowo regretted not making the most out of the last time that he was with Jahmby.
“Njambi, if I knew this was the last time I would see you, I would have hugged you a little longer, told you again how much I loved you. Nobody lived as fully as you did, loved as deeply or fought as hard. Rest well, my friend. Koma thaayÅ«,” he said in his tribute to the fallen media icon.
Madowo however hosted his last show on the Trend in early July 2017. In his partying shot, he admitted that he ended up hosting the show by accident.
“After James Smart left, Smirti Vidyathi my colleague was doing the show and when I rejoined NTV in 2012, Smirti was away for one week so I offered to do the show that one time and she never took the show back because she didn’t like doing it,” Larry revealed.
