During. the interview, the lawmaker insisted that her legal battles with Sauti Sol were centered on her rights as an artist.

She acknowledged not having conversed with them for an extended period but asserted that it wasn’t due to lingering resentment.

“I have not spoken to them for a long time. But I know there is no such thing. It’s that I just wanted my right,” she stated.

Talking about the origins of her conflict with Sauti Sol, Asige revealed, “They asked me to leave the label; they didn’t see our collaboration continuing. I said it’s fine.”

Asige initiated legal proceedings against Sol Generation Records Limited and specific individuals, including Bien-Aime Baraza, Polycarp Otieno, Willis Chimano, Delvin Mudigi, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Kenya.

She demanded full receipts of projects she was featured by the boys band and other members of Sol Generation.

It’s not clear if her dues were cleared by Sauti Sol.
