Award winning investigative journalist Dennis Okari has left NTV. Kenyans are wondering what is currently going on at Nation Media Group. A few days ago, Mark Masai was fired after serving the CDB based station, NTV for 14 years.
Mark Masai responded to Dennis Okari’s exit saying, “One of the best from any investigation desk in this country, region and continent. Onwards, forwards and to the world my brother @DennisOkari”
“First it was Mark Masai, now Denis Okari. What is happening at NTV?”
“Renowned investigative journalist Dennis Okari bows out of NTV days after Mark Masai announced that his days had come to an end. What is the future of Traditional media?”
Many Kenyans are now concerned with these exits.
Unverified reports claim that Nation Media is offering its employees two options. (1) “Honorably” resign; (2) get dismissed. In an employee’s life, some of the hardest choices have the same outcomes. By the end of the week, “mass resignations” are to be expected. Mark Masai and Dennis Okari paved the way.
“My assignment at NTV has come to an end. I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to serve. I gave it my all, but I couldn’t have done it without the help of an incredible team and an amazing audience.
“It’s time to move on to something bigger and greater than myself.” Dennis Okari signed off at NTV.
