That the rest of the world is happy Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump is no secret, most world leaders are indeed relieved they won’t have to deal with Trump ever again.
Most world leader breathe a sign of relief the moment Joe Biden crossed the 270 electoral vote threshold to be declared US President-elect.
Congratulatory messages to Joe Biden from head of state and governments in UK, France, Germany, Ukraine Canada, India and many other countries flowed even as Trump did all he can to discredit Biden’s win.
No head of state celebrated Biden’s win more than Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari who couldn’t hide his joy that the US President-elected trounced Trump.
Buhari celebrated Biden’s win in a series of tweets, saying that Biden’s win was a blessing particularly at this time of uncertainty and fear in world affairs.

The Nigerian President further said that Biden’s win gives Africa hope and adds value to US presidency and world affairs.
“President-Elect Biden’s remarkable track record gives us hope that he will add value to the presidency and world affairs. We look forward to greater cooperation between Nigeria and the United States, especially at economic, diplomatic, political and security levels,” Buhari tweeted.

Buhari also called on Biden to introduce greater engagement with Africa on the basis of reciprocal respect and shared interests.
