Known for his biting tongue, nominated member of parliament David Ole Sankok was a man who did not mince his words when it came to attacking fellow leaders such as the opposition leader Raila Amollo Odinga.
At some point, David Sankok left Kenyans in shock when he claimed that Raila Odinga had sacrificed his late son Fidel in a bid to become president. So serious was Sankok that he added that the ODM leader was about to sacrifice his other children just to be president in the past election.
Fastforward, after Sankok lost his son, Kenyans took him head on with the majority wanting to know whether whatever befell the young boy was his own making.
Known for always benefitting from nominations, these Kenyans put Sankok to task to explain how the eventuality would benefit him if his sentiments about the death of Raila Odinga’s son was anything to go by.
“Sorry for losing your son but now explain to us like small children if this was really an accident or whether you sacrificed him the way you accused Raila sometimes back. You claimed that Baba sacrificed his child to ascend to the presidency. Does that apply to your late son too or yours is a natural death?” Asked one Kenneth after the MP broke the news of his child’s death.
Perhaps the above sentiments from Kenyans made David Ole Sankok to resign from active politics so that he disapproves his haters who pushed him to the wall to explain if he wanted to benefit from that unfortunate incident and be nominated again in parliament like he accused Raila.
According to the police, the 15-year-old Memusi Sankok shot himself using his father’s pistol which he reportedly took from a safe in his father’s bathroom in their home in Ewaso Nyiro, Narok county.
He was alleged to have shot himself under the chin and the force of the bullet was said to have penetrated and exited through the right side of his head.
