Mystery As Man Found Dead After Sleeping With Another Man

Date:

Madaraka police are investigating the death of a Nairobi-based tout found dead in a guest room he shared with another man.

Benard Mwendwa, alias Swaleh, a regular customer at the Mukuru-based guest house is said to have shared a room with a fellow man identified as Mwala.

When he was found, the police say the 30-year-old tout has visible injuries on his body. The police have since launched the search of the deceased companion.

“Investigations into the matter have kicked off, and the suspect who is still at large will be nabbed soon to shed more light on the incident,” Makadara police boss Timon Odingo said, as reported by K24.

The police report claims that the deceased arrived at the guest house on Saturday night but was found dead on Sunday, August 30 afternoon. According to the guest house attendant, Mwenda arrived at the guest house feeling unwell.

In a statement to the police, the guest house attendant, Mustapha Joel, claimed that the deceased told him that he was unwell. According to him, Mwendwa asked him for water and took some tablets before going to sleep.

The following morning, the man who shared the room with Mwendwa left the lodging without information.

However, his family has disputed the claims that he was unwell and has asked the police to investigate the matter.

Beatrice Musyoka, the deceased elder sister, claimed that the Mwenda was injured in the chest and parts of his stomach have visible injuries.

“Blood was also oozing from his mouth, and there is no way the attendants can say that my brother arrived there complaining that he was unwell,” she said.

According to Musyoka, there was no way her brother could have been unwell and fail to tell his family.
