Health CS Mutahi Kagwe tested for Coronavirus, COVID-19

The Kenyan Health Cabinet Secretary, Mutahi Kagwe led by example by taking senior officials at his ministry to take a random Coronavirus test on Tuesday evening.

Mutahi Kagwe was treated like ordinary Kenyan, no special treatment whatsoever and got tested for the novel, pandemic, Coronavirus, COVID-19.

The Health CS who has been keeping Kenyans up to speed with updates of the Coronavirus, COVID-19 was tested by a medical officer who wore a hazmat suit, or what at least looks like it before taking the test for lab testing.


“In line with Gov’t directive to do random testing for members of the public in targeted areas, this evening I got tested for COVID-19 together with MoH staff at Ministry Headquarters.” Health CS, Mutahi Kagwe said in part on social media, “We identified and taken extra measures in high-risk counties like Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi & Kwale.”
