“Msaliti Number one” Eric Omondi Fires Back At Peter Salasya

Date:

Comedian Eric Omondi on Tuesday organized a surprise demonstration at Parliament buildings.

Eric was in the company of Mama Mboga, who carried vegetables and placards that carried messages of their agony.

Unfortunately, the comedian was arrested and forced to spend the night in custody.
Speaking after being released on bail Eric, explained why he came up with the surprise demos.

“We only demonstrate when it is necessary when I feel like it is time and it is timely. We are about to experience another finance bill and you know what happened last year and we didn’t want to wait,” he said.

He added that the government was busy distracting Kenyans from the finance bill by coming up with issues such as the rift between the head of state and his deputy, Limuru 3 among others.

At the same time, he fired back at Peter Salasya, who had criticized him for labelling MPs betrayers.

” Hao maMP, hao wasaliti washapanic akina Salasya,” the comedian noted.

“Salasya is the worst traitor of all MPs. Two weeks ago he was on a helicopter with DP Rigathi Gachagua. Salasya was on a bonfire three nights ago with the president. Salasya has been to every event with the president. He is in bed with the government. He is enjoying the luxuries that the government is providing so he is betrayer number one,” Eric added.

While condemning Eric for labelling all MPs traitors and demonstrating outside parliament,  Salasya accused Eric of seeking for attention.

“Eric, look for views in the right way. Don’t call MPs traitors when you don’t understand how things work. The bill is not yet in parliament. I thought Eric was a bright man.

“I have seen Eric has bought vegetables and dashed them money to come and call Members of Parliament as traitors. As we talk, we have finished the budget process. The next is public finance, which has yet to be brought to Parliament so that we can vote. The bill is still under the context of the Executive and public participation,” he said.

Eric however said that he didn’t pay the demonstrators a single coin but just bought their vegetables and asked them to help him carry them to parliament.
