Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has slammed DP William Ruto for condemning the controversial ‘Madoadoa’ remarks while in Bomet.
According to the lawmaker, DP Ruto should have condemned the remarks that were made by Meru senator Mithika Linturi, while in Eldoret and not in Bomet where he had gone to sell his political agenda on Monday, Janaury 10,2022.
“I have heard Ruto in Bomet speaking about the remarks. He was supposed to address the remarks while in Eldoret and not Bomet,” Junet said in a function in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado county.
He went ahead to claim that the second in command had sent Linturi to give the statement but when he saw that things had taken a turn he changed his tune.
“That means that he sent Linturi to taste the environment, but when he saw how Kenyan citizens reacted, he now changed his tune saying it is bad. We are not stupid, ” Junet said.

While in Bomet, Ruto advised his allies against using political platforms to incite Kenyans.
“We want to say, going forward and to members of my team, the hustler nation, that all of us must mind our language, all of us must be careful about what they say so that we can unite this nation and that is what the Hustler Nation believes in,” Ruto said.
He further urged the authorities to apply the law equally without taking sides. He added that his UDA party was a national one aimed at bringing all communities together.
“As a party we believe in the unity of the nation we don’t believe in ethnic, regional, or village politics…and I want to say that we do not subscribe to any divisive talks we do not agree with talks that profiles any individuals or groups because we are a national party that brings all the communities of Kenya together.,” Ruto said.
