The world has been left in utter disbelief after a statue of the male reproductive organ(dick and balls) was erected on top of a granny’s grave in Misantla, Mexico.
The family of 99-year old Catarina Orduña Pérez alias Dona Cata however did not have her grave decorated with a dick’s statue on their own. That is something that she wanted herself and talked about for years while she was still alive and before she breathed her last, she made it a point to remind her family that they should consider erecting a penis on her grave.
“She wanted to break the paradigm of everything Mexican, where things are sometimes hidden because of not having an open mind. She was always very avant-garde, very forward-thinking about things,” her grandson Álvaro Mota Limón told VICE World News.
According to him, Dona Cata would refer to her family as Verga. Verga Is a vulgar Mexican word for Penis. Depending on how it is used, it may refer to an insult or a compliment.
“She told me that it was her desire so that no one would forget her and that everything we loved about her would be remembered more easily. We talked as a family and decided to make her dream come true,” Mota Limon said.
Dona Cata died on January 20, 2021 but her death wish came to pass last weekend, when her family unveiled a giant dick statue on her grave. The monument has a 5 and a half foot tall cock with balls weighing nearly 600 pounds.
The statue took about a month to be built and the whole work involved 12 people including a carpenter, a sander, a sculptor, and a carver.

The family has been criticized for doing such an extreme thing on a grave and breaking Mexican norms and traditions but they said that they were well prepared for the negative energy.
Dona Cata was famous in the city and politicians streamed at her place because of her influence.
Her obsession with the male reproductive organ was however not for its ‘usual job’ but for something else that she believed in. She conceptualized that idea to the family with the metaphor of a penis, meaning when you’re verga you don’t give up.
“She saw life with great optimism and that problems shouldn’t overwhelm us. One should not give up. When problems arose, you needed to face them head-on,” her grandson explained
