Mombasa Governor bans Muguka

Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has placed an embargo on the sale and distribution of muguka.

Nassir has directed all outlets, whether retail or wholesale selling Muguka in Mombasa County to be closed immediately.

The third directive involved denying the entry of motor vehicles transporting muguka in the county.

He noted that the County Departments were mandated to enforce the order effective immediately.

“Now, therefore I Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir, Governor of Mombasa, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby order and direct that, there be a total prohibition on the entry, transportation, distribution, sale and use of muguka and its products within Mombasa County,” the statement read in part.
