Sonko News can authoritatively report that Moi University has been closed indefinitely with students expected to leave the premises by Thursday noon (tomorrow).
As a result, all Moi University students are expected to be out of the school by Thursday noon according to the short memo.
“At its special meeting, held on Wednesday 27th October 2021, Senate resolved to suspend teaching and learning activities at Main Campus indefinitely due to the industrial action by the University Staff which has affected University operations. Moi University workers and lecturers this week on Monday took to the streets, citing failure of the institution to implement the 2017/2021 Collective Bargain Agreement (CBA) and delays in payment of their salaries.
