Milele Fm boss and  Breakfast show host Alex Mwakideu has made his debut in the acting industry after landing a role in a drama film.
Through an Instagram post, Mwakideu announced that he will be joining Catherine Kamau popularly known as Kate Actress and Mumbi Maina in a romantic drama dubbed Nafsi.

Kate actress starred in various films including Plan B, Sue na Jonie and previously played the role of Selina in the popular mother in-law drama series that airs on Citizen TV on Sundays. She will now be switching from comedy to drama.
On the other side, Mumbi played roles in Sense8 and The Matrix Resurrections.
Alfred Munyua of Crime and Justice will also feature in the Nafsi drama.
Other actors who have featured in the drama include Raymond Ofula (Monica, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind); BETâs Top Actor Africa runner-up Alex Khayo (Watu Wote, Selina), Spice FM Â radio presenter and singer Monique Bett, as well as singer and former Kora Awards winner Silaiyo.
Nafsi was written and directed by Reuben Odanga. Some of his works include Nira, Nuru, Saida and Selina. The last two have won Kalasha awards in the past.
Nafsi is about two best friends, Mumbi and Kate who play the roles of Aisha and Shiko respectively.
Aisha is unable to conceive following a traumatic childhood experience. Shiko offers to help surrogate services so that Aisha can save her marriage leading to a series of events.
Odanga who expressed his excitement about the film described it as a âreal and simple storyâ while also praising both Mumbi and Kate for their performance.
